The Monthly Meeting for the
Board of Trustees for the Village of Oriskany Falls was held on Monday, December
8, 2014, at 6:31PM. Present at the Meeting was Mayor John Misiaszek and
Trustees Brian Bell, Gerald Pedersen and Benjamin Stuttard. Trustee Thomas
Kilts was absent.

Misiaszek made the motion seconded by Gerald Pedersen to accept the Minutes
from the November 17, 2014 Monthly Meeting and Public Hearing. Thomas Kilts
absent, Gerald Pedersen aye, Benjamin Stuttard aye, Brian Bell aye and John Misiaszek
aye. Approved 4-0.

Commissioners/Trustee Gerald Pedersen was present. The November 10, 2014,
Monthly Meeting Minutes and the December 1, 2014 Minutes were presented and are

CW CLARK MEMORIAL LIBRARY: No Library Report
CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER:
Code Enforcement Officer Robert
Piersma was absent and no report was given. Mayor John Misiaszek gave an update
on the property that will get tore down; 175 Madison Street. It’s currently
owned by NBT Bank. Due to the health risks with exposure of contaminants, the
Bank is tearing the building down. The Village does not want to take ownership
of the property.
A letter is on file from Diane
Howe, daughter of Shirley Kelley, regarding the status of the property at 129 ½
Broad Street.
WWTP OPERATOR:
Robert
Galinski submitted his Waste Water Treatment Plant Operators Monthly Report for
November 2014 and is on file for public knowledge. Mayor John Misiaszek will
contact James Kilts to find out about the progress of the installation of the
pump control at WWTP.

Misiaszek made the motion seconded by Benjamin Stuttard to approve Waste Water
Treatment Plant Operator Robert Galinski Report for the Month of November 2014.

SUPERINTENDENT
OF STREETS AND WATER:
Superintendent
Robert Bowie was present and his Report for the Month of December 2014 is on
file for public knowledge. Bob Bowie suggests that the Village take the trees
down on Whitney Oliver’s property. The Village Board stated that the trees are
not the Village responsibility to take down; they are the property owner’s
responsibility.

Robert Bowies’ Report for the Month of December 2014. Thomas Kilts absent,
Gerald Pedersen aye, Benjamin Stuttard aye, Brian Bell aye and John Misiaszek

MAYOR AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES:
Mayor John Misiaszek requested to send a letter to
David Kilts to stop further use of a “drive thru” with his large trucks through
the Villages Parking Lot on Broad Street. This situation was discussed last
month. The parking lot will be ruined if it continues. When it was designed it
was not intended for large trucks. The Village Board approved sending a letter
to Mr. Kilts.
Trustee Gerald Pedersen asked about the water
fountain; Bowie said that someone turned the water on and the water froze. The
Village DPW had to fix the problem. Gerald also asked if the DPW were ready for
the big snow storm that was supposed to happen the next day, the DPW have all
equipment ready.
Trustee Benjamin Stuttard also asked about the water
fountain.

John Misiaszek suggested that Erik Pedersen get a $.50 an hour raise effective
December 13, 2014. Brian Bell made the resolution seconded by John Misiaszek to
approve raising Erik Pedersen’s hourly rate from $8 an hour to $8.50 an hour
starting December 13, 2014. Thomas
Kilts absent, Gerald Pedersen abstain, Benjamin Stuttard aye, Brian Bell aye
and John Misiaszek aye. Approved 3-0.
A
letter was sent to the Dan Clapp from the Villages Attorney regarding the use
of the right of way to the Villages Parking Lot off of Main Street.
The
2015 Town Lease was presented. Brian Bell made the resolution seconded by
Benjamin Stuttard to renew the Towns Lease Agreement with no changes. Thomas
Kilts absent, Gerald Pedersen aye, Benjamin Stuttard aye, Brian Bell aye and
John Misiaszek aye. Approved 4-0.
All
the funds for the Senior Trips have been spent. A spreadsheet shows who went to
each trip.

Misiaszek made the resolution seconded by Benjamin Stuttard to authorize the
following:
The
Village Clerk's Office (Board Room) in the Village Hall 185 North Main Street
Oriskany Falls, NY to be the polling place for the Annual Village Election to
be conducted from Noon to 9PM Wednesday, March 18, 2015.
For
Helen Alberding to be the Democratic Election Inspector with Aubrey Alberding
as the Alternate Inspector; Eva Idzi to be the Republican Election Inspector
with Ethel Farrow as the Alternate Inspector.
The
Clerk to select other alternate inspectors and to waive the residency
requirement, if necessary, should any of the above-appointed persons be unable
to serve. Thomas Kilts absent, Gerald Pedersen aye, Benjamin Stuttard aye,
Brian Bell aye and John Misiaszek aye. Approved 4-0.
There
were six applications received for the Office Specialist 1 position. Interviews
will be held after the holidays.
